I haven’t written anything for a long period, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been painting… on the contrary; I’ve been so busy painting that I haven’t even had time to publish my paintings, and certainly not to write about them… And the reason why I’ve been so busy is that I’m going to Norsk Høstfest in Minot North Dakota, to exhibit my paintings, and hopefully sell them all, and get some new orders:) It’s been a lot of work to get enough paintings of a size that is possible to stove in a bag… Not an ordinary bag though, I’ve bought a huge bicycle bag that measures 120x80x30 cm! Perfect for transportation of paintings, or so I hope… The answer to that won’t be clear until I reach Minot in a few hours from now…

I have now been traveling for 21 hours, and still I’ve got a few hours more to go. Right now I’m at the Denver airport, with yet another hour to wait before the flight to Minot. In about four and a half hours from now, I hope to find my bed at the Hyatt house Minot:) It’s been an extremely long journey, but hopefully the Høstfest will be worth it…

Two days before I left home the local newspaper “Amta” had an article about me, and my “big journey”. It’s fun to be acknowledged this way, and I’ve got a lot of positive attention because of this.

Right now I’m full of anticipation, and extremely excited about this whole thing. Sale or no sale, I reckon this will be a great experience anyhow:)

…but I must admit that in the plane over the Atlantic, I suddenly started thinking that this whole thing was madness, and that I was probably fooling myself believing I could be an artist… I’ve almost overcome the feeling again now, but anyhow I’ve now come too far to turn around…

In the next couple of days, I will publish my latest paintings, and give reports from the festival, but now I better go to the gate to be sure I’ll reach my flight to Minot:) 12072571_889692224442427_1222370295141052034_n12072677_889692241109092_7488437112148483839_n
