Last day

Today it’s my last day in Minot and the last day at Norsk Høstfest. until now the sale hasn’t been too good, only a few postcards sold, and a lot of people that might order paintings of their family farm back in Norway, but nothing more concrete yet… Although hundreds of people have come by […]

Merit award

Today it’s been an interesting day. This morning all of a sudden there came a bunch of people over to my booth with a woman in bunad blowing a horn in front, and a photografer following close behind. It turned out I had won a prize! So I got this swedish dala-horse with a sign […]

Norsk Høstfest

Yesterday it started!

Yesterday morning at nine o’clock I was totally stressed out as I hadn’t yet managed to park my car, and the festival was about to start. Five minutes later I was at my booth, a bit shaky and sweaty, but ready for a long day:)

It’s fascinating to watch all the people coming to […]

On my way to Norsk Høstfest

I haven’t written anything for a long period, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been painting… on the contrary; I’ve been so busy painting that I haven’t even had time to publish my paintings, and certainly not to write about them… And the reason why I’ve been so busy is that I’m going to Norsk […]

Prints and colours and excitement:)

Yesterday the first sample-prints of my paintings were ready for pickup at the printers (Reklamepartner Graphics AS – As I asked my two daughters to join me when I was going to pick up the samples, we ended up in a shopping mall for a couple of hours first, spending far too much money… […]

Exciting plans for the autumn:)

A couple of days ago I booked tickets for Minot in North Dakota! I’m heading for Norsk Høstfest!

Norsk Høstfest(=Norwegian Autumn party) starts on september 29th, and keeps going until october 3th. The festival claims to be the largest Scandinavian festival in North America, but as I’ve never heard of any real big Scandinavian festivals anywhere […]

March 22, 2015

by theartcakery

My husband is a photographer and loves making videos; so he decided to make a video of my latest painting, to show how similar it is to the original photo I used as a template. So far the video only shows the first part of the painting, as it wasn´t one original […]

When I started this blog about 18 months ago, I seriously believed, or at least tried to convince myself that I would actually write posts on a regular basis, or at least every now and then…Well, now I´m writing again, so the every now and then ambition is still standing:) And my […]
